Billlie's Concept

[Webmaster Note: Some parts of this section are based on my interpretation of Billlie's concept.]

The name "Billlie" originates from a legend within the group's lore:

Bi-11-lie / 비-11-lie

On the day purple rain (비) falls and the bell rings 11 times, Billlie gets taken away to the other side. However, those who witness this event lie about what they saw in order to keep it a secret.

"Billlie" here represents the B-side that exists within everyone. Like the B-side of a record, it's something that's often overlooked, yet it's a core part of our identity. And over time, it may quietly disappear from our lives, becoming forgotten or even lost. Through their music, Billlie tell the story of their lost B-side and their journey to rediscover it.

Musical Style

Being a story-driven group, many of Billlie's songs are crafted with their narrative in mind. They choose each genre based on what they want to express, then carefully arrange it in a way that enhances the emotion. This results in a wide variety of sounds and concepts throughout their discography. From hard rock to G-house to nu-jazz, each genre marks a new chapter in their journey. The members then bring these stories to life through their musicality and bold performances. Moon Sua shares with NME, “We are having a lot of fun while creating our music. We are always thinking about what else we could do next – always up for a challenge.”
