The name “Billlie” means the B-side that everyone has within them. This B-side could be anything – your inner self, precious memories, or someone you love dearly. However, similar to the B-side of a record, this side of you is often overlooked, hidden away, or even disappearing completely from your life. Through their music, Billlie tells the story of how the B-side disappeared and their journey to finding it.

Another key factor to Billlie and their music is how they explore different genres and concepts, transforming them into their own unique color. Some of these genres include classic hard rock, synthfunk, nu jazz, and more. Oftentimes, these songs are musically constructed to emphasize the story told within their lyrics. The members also fully embody these genres through their vocal and performance delivery. Through experimenting, Billlie are able to show their individual talents, their years of experience, and their excitement to trying new things. In an interview with NME, Moon Sua says, “We are having a lot of fun while creating our music. We are always thinking about what else we could do next – always up for a challenge.”

• Billlie originally debuted with 6 members. Sheon was later added to the group on November 19, 2021.
• Throughout 2023 and 2024, Moon Sua and Suhyeon went on hiatus for personal and/or health reasons. Both fully returned to group activities on April 11, 2024.
